What is the benifit to using moisturizing cream on your face instead of body lotion?

Is there really a difference? My face is dry and my body lotion doesnt seem to help. Is that because I need face moisturizer stuff or just because my body lotion is cheap?|||Your face is more sensitive than other parts of your body, plus it is exposed to the elements (sun, cold weather, etc) far more than other parts. A specialized moisturizer is usually better.|||lotions do not have enough natural oils and butters but are mostly water but moisturizing cream should be rich but not greasy and leave yours skin feeling very soft. I use Olankas products and find them exceptional. Google Olankas moisturizing cream Report Abuse
|||body lotion is heavier and usually leaves an oily residue, moisturizers for the face usually have no oild or close to nothing, it makes your skin look healthier|||it will not break out out skin...

but in your case...

try using Lubriderm (nonsented) it moisterizes your skin and is also good for the rest of your body.

Also if you wash your face in hot water, espically in the winter, that will also dry out your skin.|||I use Signature Club A ( which I suggest) Face cream in stead of lotion because it leaves your pours open and it doesn%26#039;t clog them and it leaves your face as soft as velvet|||moisturiser is normally thicker - so for the face

and lotion is normally runnier - so for the body

i guess theres no reason why you cant put lotion on your face but i think mosturiser on the face is better and wont make you look oily|||If your skin is really dry, use creamy vaseline. In the winter, my skin gets really dry and the creamy vaseline protects my skin from the cold. Sometimes, I mix it with my moisturizer. It%26#039;s only about $3 a tube and it%26#039;s better than any department store cream or mosturizer.|||Body lotions tend to be heavier and have a tendancy to clog your facial pores. Also facial lotion has more vitamins and ingredients that specifically help your face.|||The skin on your face is more delicate than on your body, so body lotion should not be used on your face. It can dry it out, or cause clogged pores and pimples. Some people have had good results using plain vasaline or olive oil on their skin, but it clogs my pores and causes pimples. I use Olay during the day, and cleanse with cold cream at night. I also use an eye serum from Burts Bees.|||I have always used regular old St. Ives Vitamin E body lotion and it leaves my skin perfect! Just make sure to test them out and find one that won%26#039;t leave you greasy!
