Moisturiser for hands? (for men).. I have Psoriasis..?

Hi All!

I suffer from Psoriasis for the last 15 years.. for last 2-3 years its almost 95% controlled coz I had PUVA (UV light therapy) treatment in August 2007.. the treatment worked in that it tackled psoriasis but but my hands are now are too wrinkly and dry.. almost like my dad%26#039;s hands and he%26#039;s almost 65 now.. oh and I%26#039;m 28.. the doctors said my hands will be fine in 5-6 months time and its now 2 years almost.. when I talk to doctors, they just tell me to keep using E45 moisturiser and that my hands will be like before with that..

I tried all kinds of creams/lotions that people suggested like Nivea/Vaseline/E45/Dove.. but they work for some time but then my hands get wrinkly and old looking again.. I%26#039;m not using any meds now for Psoriasis coz the spots are almost cleared 100%..

What do you guys/ladies suggests? My prob is only the skin of my hands coz thankfully PUVA didn%26#039;t hurt my face or other skin.. but if its something that I can apply to my face as well I don%26#039;t mind.. I have normal skin.. no probs of it being sensitive or oily :)|||I strongly suggest using this stuff called Aquaphor by Eucerine. I get it at CVS. It has no scent so i think its ok for a guy. The only downside is its kinda greasy. But very moisturizing.

Whatever you chose, make sure Lanolin in a top ingredient. That is the best for dry skin.|||maybe use baby oil or vaseline do a cocoa butter lotion (doesnt look like a cream, more like a thick oil)-goes on nice and absorbs well

http://www.vaseline.co.uk/Carousel.aspx?鈥?/a>

available from superdrug. also look at the palmers cocoa butter range in there too.

so, apply it to your hands then put cotton gloves (or socks) over your hands before bed. locks in moisture and the heat helps too. you can get the gloves from most chemists but they are usually for womem, although they may fit your hands at a stretch!

Is a moisturiser really necessary for skin? Especially face and hands? Does it really help?

If yes, what kind of a moisturiser is good? I heard that water based moisturisers containing AHAS are good. Is it so? Please suggest some good ones available in India. How many times should it be applied?|||olay is good with spf 15

it%26#039;s not oily.

or aveno

yes your skin needs it especially during winter

so your skin won%26#039;t get all dried out.

and the moisturizers with spf are better so down the road you skin will still look young %26amp; healthy

[cause the sun won%26#039;t damage it]|||Moisturizers are very important. Any good Day Moisturizer will contain an SPF. SPF is very important to protect your skin from sun damage. A good Night Moisturizer will contain skin repairing properties. Choose a moisturizer based on your skin type. You should be cleansing, toning and moisturizing your face every morning after you get up and every evening before you go to bed. Moisturizers work against aging and work towards healing. Also, you breath through you skin so it is important to take good care of all of your skin. Moisturize your entire body. Get a good body lotion. Get a good hand lotion. Be Wise! Moisturize!|||Moisturizer is only necessary if you need it. Some people have dry skin and harsh soaps, etc. exacerbate it. If you feel a tightness on your hands or face after washing, or if they are flaky, then a moisturizer might be beneficial. When you are older and you have less moisture and plumpness, it really makes a difference, but if you are young with oily skin it%26#039;s not necessary for your face. For your hands, most people wash them more than your face so a simple lotion will probably help keep your hands nice and cuticles supple.

AHA%26#039;s can be very irritating if you have sensitive skin. If it burns and flakes a lot, it%26#039;s too harsh. Chemical exfoliators are good to renew your skin, better than scrubs which is what an AHA will do. I find BHA%26#039;s to be gentler plus they unclog pores. Some people only tolerate those types of creams every other night or so, not every day.

For a regular facial moisturizer, for daytime get one with sunscreen, that is going to prevent aging more than anything. Just put it on after you wash your face in the morning, before make up. I%26#039;m not sure what is available in India but there is a brand called Purpose that is nice and gentle and oil free, also Dove has a good one. Just don%26#039;t put body moisturizer on your face, it%26#039;s too harsh. If your skin is dry, I would recommend moisturizer with sunscreen in the daytime after cleansing in the morning. And you can use your AHA cream at night after washing your face before bed. If your skin is really dry, you might not even have to wash your face in the morning, just splash with water and then put on moisturizer.|||Yes yes yes! moisturizer is important for your skin! you%26#039;ll develop skin problems and wrinkles all throughout your life if you dont moisturize often! ESP when you get outta the shower or when your skin is wet- rain or after u wash ur hands/face or whatever! If you havent moisturized regularly already-- you should use intensive lotion- liek Vaseline Intensive Care. Olay care works well too, as well as nutrogena. You can ask a dermatologist or some friends what they use and what they like. GOod luck!|||yes. it makes ur skin soft and look visably smoother. and yes i used water based creams and i get great results.

u should apply cream once in the morning after u wash ur face and once at night after u wash ur face.

im not sure which creams r in india but if they have it :%26quot;neutrogena%26quot; is a really great brand.|||I seen this on Oprah awhile ago with Dr. Oz. He said that all those moisturizers are a waste of money unless it has alpha hydroxy. He said that is the only thing that you need to have. I suppose if you look it up, it will tell you what it does, I don%26#039;t remember all the details anymore.|||Face mousituriser is extremely important for me. I put it on after my shower everyday.. I use ponds. I use the blue container It works veryy good! For my hands i just use any lotion.. Good Luck!|||Yes, moisturizer is very important so you don%26#039;t get wrinkles. It make cause some acne ,but once your skin gets used to it you should be fine.|||I think NIVEA is still one of the best! Doctors have recommened because there isnt lots of chemical like others... Pls make a search in Yahoo India.|||it oveusly makes skin softer :L

xx|||yes it prevents it to dry out and loose its naturall shine use it it will help|||yes,

it helps your skin be less dry and itchy

any one with cocoa butter is good.|||it can give u acne on the face but the hands are good.

Can i moisturise with e45 cream until I can get my hands on some moisturiser?!?

I have only really recently started taking care of my skin and I was scared to use moisturiser because my skin is so oily and I didn%26#039;t want to risk it getting worse.

Basically all I%26#039;ve been doing is cleansing with simple foam cleanser twice a day, followed by wiping over simple toner. but yeh I have started to notice the little bits of skin by my nostrils getting dry and slghtyl flakey and also my forehead and chin a little.

I don%26#039;t have any moisturiser at home and was just wondering, would it be okay to use e45 cream until I can go to the shops? Which moisturiser should I buy? I want to buy simple because it%26#039;s really the only brand I can afford and trust :)

can I get moisturisers from simple that wont make my skin oily? thanks a bunch :D

oh, another thought.. I want to start wearing foundation because my skin isn%26#039;t at it%26#039;s best, it%26#039;s a bit patchy in colour. instead of buying moisturiser, should I buy tinted moisturiser? or would this be too oily?

I live in UK so only British/international brands please lol.|||BABY YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF USING BUTER|||e45 is perfectly fine my family swear by it ... on the other hand im 21 and want some nice classey beauty products to use other than e45. You should try no7 range from boots its really really good .. my skin was really patchy and spotty in places and then dry and then oily but i use their no7 cleanser and toner and moisturiser and it works so well ... they do each one to fit your type of skin so they do toner cleanser and moisturiser for oily combination or dry skin .. i swear by it ...and its 3 for 2 at the moment so get in there ... foundation wise try bobbi brown shes got amazing foundation and the ladies who work there will find one for your skin|||I%26#039;m not sure about the e45 cream, but get simple oil control moisturiser, its really nice|||E45 is a really good moisturizer - highly recommended for your skin, so try it out and see if it really works for you.

Other than that, if you want to find out what moisturizer would do as an alternative, go into a store like Boots and ask one of the cosmetic counter assistants for advice... they%26#039;ll be able to introduce you to products, and may be able to give you testers to try out (in the larger stores).

You should always use moisturizer with foundation, to avoid your skin drying out - I suppose you could use tinted moisturizer, but since it soaks in to your skin, I%26#039;m not sure how good such products would be...

Have a browse in Boots / Superdrug or any local pharmacies and see what%26#039;s on offer - and try out small versions of different moisturizers... you%26#039;ll soon learn what you like - and it doesn%26#039;t have to be expensive to be good :-)|||You sound JUST like me! haha i have e45 cream but it spreads really far and is quite greasy and oily. i use it for my hands and legs now. for my face i use nivea cream (it comes in a blue tub.) it is ideal and unlike e45 it is more %26#039;solid%26#039; than liquidy and its not greasy at all. it works great and i really recomend it!!!!

for now only use the SMALLEST amount of e45 on the face and i mean tiny...it goes a long way!|||e45 is OK for a get-by fix.

For some people, a simple %26#039;fix%26#039; is to apply baby oil to the dry areas and allow to %26#039;soak%26#039; for about 3 minutes prior to washing it off. Even vasoline has worked for some.

With predominately oily skin, your best bet may be a consult with a dermatologist.

You can try one of the natural remedies available online: just google %26quot;natural remedy for psoriasis%26quot; and take your pick. Some of them do actually work. For my plaque psoriasis the herbal cream by Champori works the best: it takes about 2 weeks to clear the patches and then they stay clear for months on end. Try it: champori comes with money back guarantee so if it doesn%26#039;t work for you - it%26#039;s free.

Cheers,

There are several fine ones on the market.

I have alway had dry hands, even growing up. I always use moisturiser/lotions etc.?

I always wonder if this is some kind of deficiency from birth or its just my skin type. I used to avoid holding hands, especially with men, I tend to give them the tip of my hands if I have shake hands! I%26#039;m not fixated or anything, just curious - maybe someone has an answer!|||You might have excema... thatz what I have.

As soon as you get out of the shower, or wash your hands, you shud put a thin coat of vaseline on, you%26#039;ll see that you won%26#039;t have flaky hands ne more.

Also, some causes of dry skin are...

The oil glands do not supply enough lubrication to the skin. As a result, the skin becomes dehydrated.

Skin gets exposed to the elements especially in winter.

Dry skin could be due to a genetic condition.

Poor diet. Nutritional deficiencies, especially deficiencies of vitamin A and the B vitamins, can also contribute to dry skin.

Environmental factors such as exposure to sun, wind, cold, chemicals, or cosmetics, or excessive bathing with harsh soaps.

Conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or seborrhea.

Also, you should see a darmatologist, because it might be a disease.|||HEY! I know how you feel. I get extremely dry hands (mainly from washing them too much), and the best thing for me is Aveeno unscented hand lotion ;-) I keep a bottle at home, and a travel bottle in my purse. Kiehls hand cream works very well too, and it%26#039;s unscented and won%26#039;t dry out your hands.

My boyfriend got me the spa gloves from Bath %26amp; body works, and I use them for 30 minutes when my hands get severely dry, and it works WONDERS!|||I had the same problem when I was younger. I suggest you drink more water, and take fish oil tablets.|||Get Hemp Hand Protection, from The Body Shop, works wonders!|||Dry skin is usually a deficiency in diet. If you eat a lot of salads and light food, try eating more breads, and balanced whole foods. Moisturizer, over time, makes it worse. You%26#039;re skin will stop secreting the natural oils since it is now over taken by the moisturizer.|||I have this problem too. You have apply moisturizer several times during the day. Use rubber gloves for dishwashing, housecleaning, and any other situation where your hands will be in hot water and/or soap, such as washing the car. Apply skin moisturizer at night before going to bed. I heard you should apply lots of lotion, then wear cotton gloves to bed but that doesn%26#039;t sound comfortable to me.

I do notice the difference when I user moisturizer frequently and rubber gloves for all washing chores.|||Drink lots of water everyday!!|||try aquaphor ointment----put it on at night and wear gloves or socks over your hands for the night. Have you considered eczema or an allergy?

Does moisturiser used over about a month stop sweaty hands ?

I%26#039;m 15 and i get sweaty hands... any way of stopping it ?|||no, botox or surgery is the only method to stop it.|||same prob im 16 and i hate that and so does my girl i try a little strong antiperspirant it works like a charm but its not to good for you and use a powder not gel

good luck dude|||There is a prescription product called Drysol that you only need to use once or twice a week, which helps with hyperhidrosis (sweaty hands, feet, and/or underarms). This works well for a lot of people. If this doesn%26#039;t help, there is a surgery to remove some of the sweat glands, but you would probably want to try the Drysol first. Your doctor should be able to prescribe it for you.

What is the best hand moisturiser?

Neutrogena has a really good one. It feels quite dry when you put it on but this is a good thing as it dries instantly, so you dont get that feeling like you cant touch anything for a while until it dries, and is excellent for dry hands

Can using moisturiser make you hands drier due to stopping natural oils get to work?

Since having my first baby my hands, which have always been dry, have become so dry that the skin cracks and bleeds. My husband thinks that I use too much moisturiser and am preventing my skin from self-healing and producing its own oils. Can that really happen? And yes, my hands are in water more often than they used to be!|||There%26#039;s nothing in any hand creams I know of that could physicaly block a pore in the skin. (Think about it. If they were blocked, they%26#039;d swell like a boil or pimple if the liquid couldn%26#039;t get out.)

As you age your skin will typically get dryer. But my money is on your situation: You are no doubt washing more things due to the baby being around right? You should consider wearing gloves whenever possible, even when using mild dish detergent. All of this is contributing to washing away your natural oils.|||A moisturiser shouldn%26#039;t stop natural function, no.

What you are describing is worse than simple dryness though. Maybe your doctor can prescribe a better cream for you.

Good Luck.|||A good moisturiser will do just what the name suggests lock in moisture and i have never herd such a thing as too much moisturiser. your hands do seem really dry if they are cracking i would pop to the docs and make sure its not dermatitas.

When i rub moisturiser into my hands can i still play with my bird Lulu?

Well i have really dry skin and use moisturiser heaps lol, but i recently got a tiel and haven%26#039;t used it, because i don%26#039;t want to poison it lol.

But my hands and arms get scratched from her claws and it makes my hands worse cause they are dry.

I really need to moisturise and im just checking it wont harm her.

Please tell me what you think.

Thanks and take care.|||i would just be careful to use not too much when you are planning to play with her...rub it in well so there is no greasiness on your hands and don%26#039;t let her bite at your hands right after you have done it...at night when you go to bed and are not gonna play with her for 7 or 8 hours...that is when you can do the heavy duy moisturizing...there is a trick that hairdressers use( their hands get drier than any i have seen)...but moisturizer on your hands LOTS! and then put apair of light cotton gloves on and sleep in them...not sure how this works but for some reason it seems to make your hands absorb the moisturizer better|||omg how long have you had lulu? because i used to hae a bird named lulu tht was a girl and we gave her away. to the point where i bleed when i scratch in my sleep .. anyone else had that problem???|||I had this about a year ago and the doctor told me my skin was very dry and gave be Balneum Bath Oil which helped a lot. I always put a little talcum powder in my bra when I put it on. This also seem to help.|||Itchy boobs.Do you mean the nipple and areola only or the entire boob? Any way The first possible reason could be your bras and other inner wear which are usually made of polyester or other synthetic material.Change over to pure cotton or if possible no inner wear at all for a few days.Secondly lot of sweat and non absorbent inner wear. Finally all those cosmetics, sprays etc. Stop applying all those material. And try pure calamine lotion twice a day after bath. If all these things do not work then see a dermatologist. It is highly unlikely that the underlying cause is Cancer.|||lets see I%26#039;ll tell you what i think!|||it can mean breast cancer.see your gp/doctor hope itd not as sereios as that.|||Your boobs are growing. Is there a doctor..can i cleanse tone and moisturize or cleanse moisturize..while on prescriptions like cream?

cream is differin and tablets a reminocyclone|||Yes definetly keep cleansing, toning and moisturising these meds will not affect that.

If this medication is for acne or skin complaints the main thing to remeber is that you will have to saty out of the sun as it weakens the skin%26#039;s defences to protect from the uva rays.

Use an oil free sunscreen as well.

Im looking for a acne cream i need something that will moisturize my face and get rid of acne.?

im 16 and proactiv didnt work or avon|||Neutrogena has several moisturizers in their acne line and oil-free moisturizers and anti-blemish moisturizers in their regular skin care line. They are gentle and work very well. You can check out all their products on neutrogena.com.|||Try The Body Shop%26#039;s Tea Tree Oil line. They have moisturizers and everything, all of which contain tea tree oil. You can ask a sales associate about the benefits of the line.|||okay

i know im just like those other people who are helping you with your acne problems

but please listen to mines

ever since FOURTH GRADE i have had HORRIBLE acne

like literally ALL OVER MY FACE

it was disgusting

but then i went to my doctor and they prescribed benzaclin (benzamicyn is good too but i think i spelled them wrong xD)

and benzaclin is what i use right now and it gets rid of acne in about a week and u can see a difference the next day

benzamicyn dries out your face so you have to use nutreugena%26#039;s spf 15 oil-free lotion (i use it for benzaclin too)

sorry neithe really moisturrizes your face

but i know for sure it gets rid of acne

and the lotion i was talking about is great because its sunblock too!

cuz any acne medicine exposes your face even more to the uv rays so it could harm your face

and if it doesn%26#039;t work

im VERY VERY VERY sorry... because it worked perfectly fine and i have no acne now

but i guess it really is just each person

so IFFFF it doesn%26#039;t work (which shoudln%26#039;t happen as long as you apply teh cream every morning and night)

i am truly sorry|||try differen (think that%26#039;s how its spelled) it worked good on me, just don%26#039;t use too much or it will dry ur skin out. plus this new face wash from neutragenea that%26#039;s called acne stress control, it works soo good i noticed a difference in a week. its like a foam wash thing.(it didn%26#039;t dry out my face) hope i helped!|||its so natural that someone has acnes this age! cuz u%26#039;re growin to be an adult and the fat is gettin more in ur body, so u have acnes!!! y don%26#039;t u use sth natural... pour lemon to the acnes places and it get%26#039;s better! soaps are usually better than creams, and they can be found in the drugstores. but i don%26#039;t think there be sth that removes the acnes and moisturize together! cuz they%26#039;re antithetic!|||Try apple cider vinegar but make sure you dilute it with water because it will be too strong for your skin. Why don%26#039;t you try this first it probably only cost a dollar. This will get rid of your acne and help to balance your skin. I have been using apple cider vinegar for 2 days it my skin is clearing up already. I swear!!!!!!!! Just do a little Internet research on apple cider vinegar for acne|||Step 1. is to use an acne-fighting facial cleanser and a soft towel to PAT dry which you need to do EVERY morning and EVERY night.

Three of the most popular acne-fighting compounds are salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and triclosan. These can be found at almost any store, I suggest using a combination of the three ingredients, like a face wash with triclosan (Noxema Triple Clean is good), and then a topical cream (at night) with benzoyl peroxide (like Clean%26amp;Clear Persa-Gel).

Step 2.

Because most of the time acne is genetic and is hard to keep under control - you need to see a doctor and get a prescription acne medication, like an antibiotic or topical cream that you apply to your skin.

There a lot of pills out there which means a little of trial and error until your skin will respond to the right one. Generally the doctor can you give you samples of 1-2 weeks worth of pills and that way you don%26#039;t have to spend money on something that won%26#039;t work.

Step 3.

It is important to make sure you shower every day, especially in the evening because bacteria, oils, and sweat from your skin get onto your sheets and then on to your skin which assist in breakouts. I suggest changing your bed sheets pretty frequently as 3 times a month and maybe every week for your pillow case. It%26#039;s very important that you also start a good dose for about 3 months of Evening Primrose Oil 2x day and Zinc 1 x 50mg day to help reduce inflamation, (they are supplements specific to skin conditions and do wonders) Drink lots of water (NO carbonated drinks of any sort), and start exercising minimum 3 x week (even if it%26#039;s a good power walk for 1 hr). This will help your body flush its system naturally and prevent further breakouts because by moving, your blood will start circulating at a higher pace and that%26#039;s what you want.

Try and stay away from covering your face with make up, but if you need to help with your confidence, there are good mineral based make up brands out there, just make sure you do WASH your face before you go to bed at night.

Hope it helps.

A fantastic brand that is a paramedical brand that is specifically targeted to all types of acne is

Alright i cleanse tone and moisturize in morning evening i dont know how to do it with a differin cream?

morning - cleanse tone moisturize using moisturizing lotion

evening - ???should i cleanse tone moisturize but where does the differin cream gel come in?|||Well, use differin after you washed your face and tone.Because it contains medicine so you should apply it first and than the rest as usually, moisturizer.

If I put like...body lotion or cream in my hair, will it moisturize it?

no, i wouldn%26#039;t do that. it would just get greasy and gross. just try shampoo and conditioner that are for dry hair. it should say moisturizing on the front. you could also try a leave in conditioner. there are sprays or creams. if you use a cream make sure it%26#039;s nothing too thick. goodluck!!!!|||it will make it oily kinda like putting baby oil in your hair.. i used to use jhonson and johnson baby lotion and that worked pertty well just not alot like a dot the size of a pea...

first of all include milk and milk products in your diet..they are very essential to have a healthy skin..you can not have healthy and glowing skin with cosmetics if you don%26#039;t have a healthy skin from within. also try eating a hand full of nuts everyday.

best moisturizer for skin i olay..i use it quite religiously as i have a very dry skin..but you have to use a night cream coz when u r sleeping ur skin repairs itself..i don%26#039;t use any creams as a night cream. i use rose hip oil as my night cream. it is one of the best things for your skin. see if u can find rose hip oil in India. Google it and read the benefits for yourself.

these are the only 2 things i use on my skin. in winters i do mix the rose hip oil in my moisturizer and use it during day time.

also drink plenty of water.|||i heard that if you add a moisutixer then on low heat %26quot;blow dry%26quot; you face it moisturizes it and keeps it not oily.......also then you can apply bronzer or other make up easily..... try it maybe.... hope i helped...good luck..

Not enough vitamins and minerals. That will cause skin irritation/color changes. Try eating more veggies, fruits and meats and drink a lot of water.|||some things to try

%26gt;%26gt; you can return moisture to your face by spraying it with fresh cool water several times during the day..... if you do not have a sprayer, just dip your [[ clean ]] fingers into a small amount of cool water and pat the water onto your face......and: do not dry it ..... let it dry naturally, it will feel cool and refreshing, and it really does work

%26gt;%26gt; whatever cream or oil you use, after you apply it be sure to pat off the extra with a clean towel or tissue

%26gt;%26gt; use a soft wash cloth when you wash your face: just wet it, put on a little facial quality soap, and gently wash it .....the advantage of using a wash cloth when you wash your face - instead of just using your fingers / hands - is that the cloth gently removes dead skin cells and leaves your face glowing......do not press or scrub too hard or you will damage your skin

%26gt;%26gt; also, be sure to have some plain water to drink a couple of times a day ....just plain, or with some ice.....but nothing in it at all !! that way you will moisturize from the inside and you will purify your system at the same time

%26gt;%26gt; last but not least: get to bed on time !! no late nights !!

Can anyone tell me if i should cleanse tone put zit cream on then moisturize if not okay but if yes what order

i really need to know the correct order because i have brought clearasil ultra, simple light moisterizer and simple toner...please help|||I can tell you the correct order of every facial regime is the following...1. cleanse your face...2. use a toner on cotton bud to clear away excess dirt and oils...3. moisturise as your pores are now open and this will push the moisturiser deep into your pores leaving you with softer more supple skin, then finally put the zit cream on and if the zit cream does not work, try minty toothpaste, this helps blemishes and redness. good luck!|||yes, cleanse tone and moisturise and put zit cream on AFTER the moisturiser so it goes on fresher and doesnt get wiped of or blended into the skin from the moisturiser.

Wait at least 30 min before you apply any topical medication or pimple cream (this will allow your skin to rebuild it%26#039;s usual oil content, and prevent your skin from overdrying). HTH!!! ;)*~*|||Its like :

(1) Cleanse,

(2) Tone,

(3) Moisturise.|||Everyone has their own way of doing things, mine%26#039;s this: Cleanse, tone moisturise then get a wet cotton bud and gently wipe over the zit to take off moisturiser on that area only (!!) then put zit cream on. To moisturize, cream or oil?

Do you use cream or oil to moisturize your face? Which is better and why?|||A cosmetic oil from the health food store would be fine to use (just not in massive quantites). I tend to have oily skin, especially in the summer months, so I don%26#039;t use a moisturizer every day, but when I do I rely on a home made cream thats base is sweet almond oil, beeswax, and rosewater. (It also contains a couple other ingredients, including honey and aloe vera gel.) Its really nice stuff, I even use it on my hair. Its lightweight so it doesn%26#039;t just sit in an oily mass on your skin.|||I like cream because it penetrates your skin, whereas oil stays on top and leaves your skin feeling greasy. There are so many great moisturizers out there today that are available in grocery stores and drug stores as opposed to having to buy them at the cosmetic counter in a department store. I wish they would market some targeted at men though - my husand won%26#039;t use my moisturizers because they smell too feminine, but they%26#039;re good for his skin!!|||I%26#039;d only suggest vitamin e if you ever used any sort of oil on your face - baby oil is mineral oil which is distilled petroleum = not a nice substance on your skin - period.

I use a whole regime it has soap, toner, a serum, eye cream, spf day cream and at night I repeat and use a night cream -

in the mix. I thought it sounded like a chore until my face glowed.

No mineral oils... very unhealthy|||Oils are very gd only if its made to penetrade into the skin effectively. But i will suggest to give it a try first before startin on it. If the oily mantains on the skin for more den 3 mins, den i wuld not consider it to be really good. Sensitive skin types mite have bad reactions to oils as well, forming small white spots on the surface.|||I use cream and it%26#039;s the better choice. Oil would obviously make your face too oily, and may cause you to break out, especially if you%26#039;re skin is sensitive. I would only use oil re; bath/body oil. Hydrating creams verses moisturizing creams?

Could any of u cleanse skin tone moisturize with differin cream?

you can use pearl powder...|||differen is for acne. not toning your skin. i use the gel kind... i guess the cream might moisturize your face a little.|||yup, i agree with %26quot;skope32%26quot;..i use the gel as well, not the cream..as advised by my dermatologist, i only apply differin to parts where there is acne or parts prone to acne and that you should only apply a minimal amount/thin coat since the effect would still be the same...

Sls free rich moisturizing creams?

Only shampoo, body washes, toothpaste, and foaming products do.

Try to look for moisturisers which contain vitamin E, shea butter, aloe vera, or such. For your body, use a body butter as they are thicker and for dry skin.|||There is a good line of products at www.slsfreeshampoo.com that include chemcial free moisturizers etc.

Can u cleanse tone moisturize while on differin cream?

Differin cream works by drying out the skin, so I would recommend to slightly change your routine. I found that (i have used Benzoyl Peroxide, a cream similar to Differein) too much washing and toning can irritate the skin, as it is quite sensitive to chemicals and light. Use a very gentle cleanser that is non comedogenic (does not clog pores) such as Cetaphil (it is relatively cheap and available at supermarkets) cleans the skin while not irritating it. Also, using a light, chemical free moisturizer helps. I would skip the toner, as it tends to dry the skin and that doesn%26#039;t help as it is already being dried by the Differin! Try to keep face out of the sun oruse a sunscreen.

Good luck and i hope this helps!:)

Is there any moisturizing & detangling leave in spray? i wanted a leave in spray and a leave in cream as well.

It works great on my hair without weighting it down.|||yes i have some u put it in after washing your hair and u comb it and it will be untangled and leave it in.

i have very sensitive skin so i tend to scar easy on my face. i need as much help as possible!!|||First, of course, you should see an actual dermatologist. They%26#039;re expensive, but it%26#039;ll be worth it if you can get useful information.

In the meantime, I%26#039;ve had a lot of luck with the Aveeno products. They are very gentle and don%26#039;t cause my Rosecea to react. Also, some people have a really tough time with bar soaps, so you could switch to a liquid cleanser. I%26#039;ve never had a problem with Cetephyl. Look for labels that say Dermatologist Tested, and Non-commenogenic (won%26#039;t clog pours). Avoid astringents, they contain alcohol, try a toner instead. Burt%26#039;s Bees has several that are extremely gentle, and they smell nice, too!

Acne is often a hormonal reaction, which is another reason seeing a Dermatologist is a good idea. S/He can perscribe something orally that can help, as well as something topical. Retin-A is really tough on the skin, and I wouldn%26#039;t recommend buying anything with that in it unless under a dr.s supervision.

Tea tree oil is really gentle and is an ingredient in a lot of products labeled sensitive skin. Oatmeal masks are easy to make in your own kitchen and have a nice dual effect of soothing and clearing pores. I use chamomile water to make the oatmeal with. I gently wash my face, then just smear the oatmeal on my face and leave it there until it dries. Stay away from your eyes. Rinse. I follow with a light moisturizer.

Is it ok if I use olive oil as a daily moisturizer for my face instead of other moisturizing creams like nivea

No, it will clog your pores and make you break out.

Invest in a facial moisturizer that says it is noncomodegenic, meaning it wont clog pores.

Facial moisturizers were designed specifically for the face so they wont colg pores and will give you a healthy glow, whereas olive oil will just make your face greasy.|||Yes you can. Commercial products are Mineral Oil based, it only sits on the surface of your skin. Vegetable oils will penetrate the epidermis and dermis layers.

suggest you slather it on, wait, then wash off so you don%26#039;t feel greasy. Mayonaise and salt (equal amounts) is a great exfoliant/moisturizer for your skin.|||Olive oil is heavy any I would suggest using it only as a treat for your skin, try applying it as a type of mask once a week, apply a thin layer to your skin and massage in periodically (once every 15 mins or so) until the greasiness goes. If it doesnt seem to %26quot;sink in%26quot; then wipe away with a cotton pad and use less next time,if using less doesnt help, then it%26#039;s probably too rich for your skin anyhow. At all other times, use a regular moisturiser to avoid blocked pores.|||I used to do that years, but only when I was at home. It did not cause any problems per se, but it was very thick, sticky and greasy. I did however find 100% natural %26quot;jojoba oil%26quot; - it mimics the skin%26#039;s natural oils, which turned out to be fantastic. So when my skin a little extra moisture, I use jojoba oil.|||Not olive oil. "Moisturizing" Body mist? Or body lotion/cream? Which is better?

After bathing and/or showering. Usually, I apply body lotion but if I%26#039;m in a hurry or if I don%26#039;t feel like taking time and using lotion i just spray on %26quot;moisturizing%26quot; body mist such as Ohm by Olay, or Healing Garden brands. The body sprays first ingredient is usually alcohol, which I hear is bad for skin... But it doesnt seem to be bad for my skin =/|||To whom it may concern:

lotions will always clog the pores of the skin, eventually leading to the endless task of detoxifying the skin %26amp; I do mean endless. Using sprays can be good if you know what to use try Burts Bees Pink Grapefruit body spray it%26#039;s sold at most health stores. 1. Visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles

2. Reduces the appearance of blotches and dark spots

4. Turns dark skin to visibly fairer skin

5. Transforms dull skin to a radiant and healthy glow

6. Minimises the appearance of pores

7. Makes skin texture visibly firmer

Is it true baby oil and some moisturizing creams take out your tan?

No.

Your tan might become lighter if you have not exfoliated for a long time, and then use a loofa or something to take off that darker layer of skin. But yech, that is no way to hang on to a tan.|||That is only true if you have a spray-on or rub-on tan that is artificial and wasn%26#039;t given to you because of lights. But if you got a tan in a tanning bed, this will not affect your tan at all. That tan gets into your skin and affects your melanin and there is no chemical that can change your melanin like that, unless you are rubbing skin bleach all over you, which would make no sense.

However, if your skin is really dry and irritated from tanning or you%26#039;re not taking good care of your skin, some of these creams can take the dead skin off of you and it can make you look like some of your tan is coming off. Or sometimes, if your skin is dry and irritated, it will look darker than it really is just because of the irritation and dirt. Thus, if you use creams, you might actually be cleansing the skin and that could make it look lighter as well. But, it%26#039;s not actually lighter.

If you take care of your skin from the beginning, it shouldn%26#039;t be a problem. I hear baby oil is actually great for your skin. Just don%26#039;t go crazy with it.

Moisturizing lotion before facial sun cream?

If you%26#039;re asking what to put on first...i remember seeing on tv that you%26#039;re supposed to put sunscreen on first...then whatever else you want after.|||most face lotions have an SPF - read the back of the bottle or the packaging to see how much.

I would put the face lotion on first, then the sunscreen if you are using two different products|||Are you talking about sun block for your face? If so, no, you don%26#039;t need moisturizer on with it. Most sun blocks already have moisturizers in them. Would be too much.

After you are finished tanning or swimming or whatever, wash thoroughly and then apply a light moisturizer.|||Yes. Always moisturize first!!!!|||Yes or just use one that contains both- alot of facial moisturizers have sunsccreen in them I use aveeno|||If you put on a moisturizer before a sunscreen then the quantity of sunscreen required is reduced and so after cleansing, do moisturize and dont ever forget the important step of putting on a sunscreen with an spf(sun protection factor) of atleast 15.

Hope I have answered that you have been looking for!

Is it ok to use vaseline on ur face instead of ther moisturizing creams such as nivea?

I would only suggest vaseline for dry lips..

Vaseline is very greasy and would cause zits!|||vaseline is actually petroleum jelly. It forms an impermeable barrier to water based solutions.

Your body is like 80% plus water. So to properly moisturize your skin you should first bath your face with Dove because it is a cleansing cream, not a soap that dries out skin. Next, rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water. WITHOUT DRYING OFF YOUR FACE, apply Nivea, or Lacthydrin 5, or Lubriderm. By putting the moisturerize on while your skin is wet, the moisture will be trapped next to your skin.

This also works for the other skin on your body.

Vaseline is used on babies butts to protect their butts from the deposits they put into their diapers.|||Be careful because if you do not clean your face after using Vaseline on your face you could get zits!! But if i were you i would try to get a moisturizing cream ( just to be safe).

hope this helps

Is it a good idea to moisturize with aqueous cream prescribed by my doctor ?

I have exzima n my doctor recomended eucerin for me.But should i use eucerin moisturizing lotion or the cream?

Always get the cream. Lotions tend to have added perfumes, dyes, etc. Those can irritate things like Excema %26amp; it can also sting when you put it on a rash.

My son had excema when he was a baby %26amp; his doctor recommended Eucerin. I also researched online %26amp; found that was the most commonly recommended cream. Go somewhere like webmd.com %26amp; search for excema. It will give you some more info about how to get rid of it or help control it. The type of soap you use %26amp; how often you shower, etc can affect it.

A little help to save you a few bucks. Wal-Mart has the Equate version of Eucerin cream. It is usually right beside it on the shelf. It is in a tub just like the name brand but costs almost $10 less. Eucerin is about $13-14 and the Equate is around $4.

I used the Equate for my son %26amp; it helped clear his skin very quickly. I think it is just as good....No....I think it%26#039;s better...$10 better!!!

Good luck!!!!|||Creams are usually a thicker consistency than lotions and are really good for extra dry skin. Lotions offer better spreadability which makes them ideal for larger areas of the body. Is there a kind of acne cream that moisturizes skin?

i have acne medication that i use every day, but a) it doesnt work very well and b) it makes my skin dry and itchy. i need to find something that works, but doesnt make me dry or itchy. thanks in advance!|||I have had acne issues for almost my whole life - it was passed down from my fathers side of the family. For over ten years I have been going to the dermatologist and spending lots of money on creams and pills that were supposed to clear up my face. They did for a few weeks however afterwards, they didn%26#039;t work and things got a lot worse - even after a year on one medicine. I have also tried those gimmick creams and lotions that are %26quot;miracle%26quot; creams - don%26#039;t waste your money on Mary Kay products or Proactive - they make your skin feel good for the first few weeks however they get really bad after a few months. The only thing that I have found that helps my skin is an easy solution.

1. Aveeno Moisturing/Cleansing Soap for oily skin $3

2. Aveeno Daily Moisturing Lotion $7

These two Aveeno products have really made it easy on me. I don%26#039;t even go to the dermatologist anymore - been doing the above for one year now - wouldn%26#039;t change a thing! Just remember never to use an oil on your skin or petroleum jelly because it will clog your pores which will create more acne. In addition, when you are using the soap, remember to use if for more than 20 seconds on your face and just pat dry - don%26#039;t rub. Also, drink lots of water and remember to not touch your face as much if this is a habit :) Good Luck!|||hi u r with a right kind of person.i m a certified skin care analyst.i have many peiple with u r same problem.i will recommend u a basic skin care and a blemish control acne treatment .we deal with %26quot;artistry%26quot; brand of products which are d best of best products in d universe,i m placed in houston, dallas taxas usa.if u r here i can help u personally,if not e mail me ruma_jabeen@yahoo.com and visit my webpage www.allbasicservices.com|||You can find some good home remedies

It%26#039;s a small, white and purple-topped bottle and runs about $5-6. You can find it just about anywhere. (Has salicyclic acid.)|||You shoule try to the Pro Active System, it worked wonder for my older brother AND youngersister. It is a system that consists of face wash, acne fighting mosturizure, and a toner for better complexion...

It is a bit expensive though, so you can also buy knock offs (which work just as good) at Wal Greens for 1/10 of the price.|||I teach skin care for Mary Kay and taking care of your skin is the first step. Use an oil free product that cleanses and exfoliates. You also need an oil free moisturize what happens when you don%26#039;t moisturize is the body produces more oil. I LOVE out acne treatment gel it is very inexpensive and works fast.

visit my website www.marykay.com\sdoshi|||Aveeno has a pretty good acne control medication that moisturizes skin as wel. Less than $10 for a jar that will probably last you about a month. It also has SPF protection.|||I use Neutrogena Advanced solutions Acne mark fading peel. It works like magic. Also try Blackhead Eliminating Treatment Mask of Neutrogena. They both work great. It doesn%26#039;t me you itchy. They are acne treatments.|||dermalogica products are really good for acne skins and moisturising too :)|||I too used many products on my face to clear up acne, but ended up with itchy dry skin. Then I bought some Proactiv oil free moisturizer- and it works wonderfully! It does not make your skin oily at all, and will not cause you to break out. It just provides your skin with just the right amount of moisture. Sometimes, along with the Proactic moisturizer, I also use Bare Escentuals Skin Rever Upper, it contains vitamins and really helps your skin look healthy. Hope this helps!

What is the best eye cream to moisturize and prevent wrinkles?

I am young and looking for something that I can start to use at an early age, that will work in the long run!|||wrinkles are caused when the production of collagen in your skin decreases and eventually stops. Collagen is located in your dermis (second layer of skin) and no %26quot;age defying%26quot; skin product has ever been proven to go beyond the epidermis. they only prevent the %26quot;appearance%26quot; of wrinkles, but a week of not using them, and your face would totally drop.

The only thing you can really do is use sunscreen everyday to delay wirnkles since UV rays can decrease collagen production sooner.|||If you are looking for home remedy to reduce wrinkles, try this.

Smear honey on your face and leave it for as long as possible (but 5-10mins a day will do). then rinse off with tepid water mixed with a teaspoon of cider vinegar - this has a neutral pH and will act as a toner.

And if you have some bucks, Lifecell anti wrinkle cream would be a good choice. You can have more information here.

What is a really good Moisturizing/Anti-Aging Face Cream?

thanks|||i agree! my mom uses Olay total effects, its anti-aging and uv protection!|||If you%26#039;re looking for a bargain, but still good quality, seek Olay. They make great products that are very comparable to department store products, yet they cost 20 dollars or less. They can be found at most drug stores (walgreens, target, etc.) and sometimes coupons and special deals can be found too.|||Sophyto makes amazing organic face care products. I%26#039;m using the sample/travel pack now and I love it! Makes your skin feel fantastic and it%26#039;s all natural too.

Do those moisturizing creams that add tan in 3 days really work and make you look good?

They do work! I%26#039;ve used Neutrogena Build-A-Tan...make sure you exfoliate really well before using one of these lotions though. (Try St.Ives Apricot face scrub.) Also, I like to wear rubber gloves to avoid staining my hands and fingernails.|||well, they do work, but some leave an afull smell|||they make you look bronzed. Try Nivea and the comment above is funny...but not nice.|||I like using the Malibu Hemp Golden Glow skin firming lotion. I use it in the morning and the night. Just as a regular moiturizer. I also like the sublime glow by loreal....but i have started tanning in the salon, so i use a triple bronzer in there and when i get out, i usually put on some stuff called Ocean Potion...it has an instant bronzer, but very light and not streaking at all.

The good thing is that every item i have mentioned here can be purchased at walmart for under 10$

The Ocean Potion does ok on your face as well as the others too.

Good Luck!|||Definitly I use it once in the morning and once before I go to bed they are awesome!|||Yes they do work, and you don%26#039;t risk getting cancer, like going out in the sun.|||There is a European company that is manufactured in the US but will be distributed from Australia from a new distribution center starting next month. Right now they are only in the US and Canada. They have over 400 Health and Wellness products. One is a bronzing powder that you dust on. It gives a great bronzing glow. The other is a spray self tanner that tans after each application. It looks great. Not orangy at all. Plus it has a SPF of 15 and key anti-aging elements as well. You should exfoliate often so you will get a uniform color. I use it on my face too. Their products are all Dermatologist Tested, Ophthalmologist Tested and Pediatrician Tested. (They have a Baby Care Line.) It is called Arbonne, which means %26quot;Good Things of the Earth%26quot;. All 400 of their products are botanical and herbal based without chemical dyes, mineral oils, fragrances, harmful alcohols, no animal by-products, never tested on animals. In fact, they are %26quot;Certified Vegan%26quot;. Their vegetable protein shakes are also %26quot;Kosher%26quot;. They are the very first to use an advanced delivery system that allows all those pure, safe and beneficial ingredients to reach the deepest layers of your skin including the %26quot;Made in the Shade%26quot; self tanner. WOW! They just came out with a new line for teenagers that has a tinted moisturising cream. It is called FYI, For Young Individuals. Check out www.CindieReed.myarbonne.com and click on %26quot;Simply the Best Products%26quot;.|||Please don%26#039;t try this at all.Once I tried and everybody would laugh at me........I got spots all over|||yea it does but you have to put it on right and if you don%26#039;t you will get streak%26#039;s|||have used alot of different tan creams and I can honestly say that I rather go get spray tan or go to to the tanning bed. I always come out looking orange..plus I think (at least for me) it is almost impossible to make sure you tan is even.If I were you I would go to one of thoes spray tan places.|||I%26#039;ve used a TON of different products that are supposed to make you tan and I can honestly say that 99% of them do not look good on people%26#039;s faces. There%26#039;s always a hint of orange/yellow undertone. You can usually get away with a fake tan on your body but your face just doesn%26#039;t look right. Also even if the color is okay your skin will shed at different speeds- making parts white while others are still brownish (i.e. you kind of resemble michael jackson....not good) if real tanning isn%26#039;t possible try some makeup bronzer.|||Well they work for me...!, I%26#039;ve tried the Neutrogena Build-a-Tan it%26#039;s great because you control your shade and you have a tan in a few hours, and the Sublime Glow Daily moisturizer from L%26#039;OREAL It%26#039;s a tone enhancer that works slower, I like both.

You may also wanna try the Sublime Bronze self-tanning towelettes from L%26#039;OREAL, they%26#039;re great!!|||They do make you darker. However, they have the orange glow factor. It looks more natural with a slight sun tan, then the sunless tanner over. The worst is when it fades, it either looks like dirt or really brings out the orange undertones. But, if you get a good product, it does look good for a few days.|||they do work but it does not look good it makes your tan look orange and it is not natural at all so your better of getting a natural tan:)|||Yeah the work If you want to be an Umpa Lompa. I tried them because I am really pale and I was so excited the first time i used it and then I got annoyed because I turned orange. I just lay out in the sun but USE SUNSCREEN!!|||Not really, after the first time you kinda add color, but when you continue, it turns out kind of splotchy! In my experience. If you do decide to do it, use a gentle scrub on your face before hand. the towllets work better though.|||very much so.. I use one from avon and once I use it for the first two days I have a nice glow and then I just reapply at the end of the week to pick up the color and depends if I will also tan outside then I skip a few days again.|||u have been ugly your whole life and u think u can look good in 3 days. THINK ABOUT IT.
